Shaija Gopi
I am a RMS licenced driving instructor with a Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport - Car Driving Instruction). Prior to starting LANES, I was a franchisee of Onroad Driving School for over 6 years. During that time, I have handled a lot of nervous learners as well as people from diverse cultural backgrounds. I believe good communication and patience is vital in teaching and mentoring people. My background in the hospitality industry and a passion for customer service made me take up the opportunity to become a driving instructor.
Being a wife and mother, I pay utmost importance to road safety. Statistics show that road fatalities are on the rise and that ‘P’ platers are most likely to have an accident in their first six months of solo driving. Learning to drive is not merely a process to pass the driving test, but an essential life skill – to stay safe and to keep others safe on our roads. This is exactly what we emphasise here at LANES.
Apart from English, I am also fluent in Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil.
